How to carve your pumpkin!💀

Gather Your Materials: Before you begin, make sure you have all the tools and supplies needed, for example, a carving kit which includes knives and scoops, a marker to outline your template, your chosen template which you can choose from below and of course, don't forget about your pumpkin!

Prepare Your Pumpkin: Begin by cleaning the pumpkin thoroughly. Cut a lid at the top and scoop out the seeds and pulp. This will create a hollow canvas for your design.

Transfer the Template: Tape or pin your chosen pumpkin carving template onto the pumpkin's surface. This is where your marker comes in to use, trace the design onto the pumpkin by pressing firmly over the lines of the template.

Carve with Precision: With your design transferred, it's time to start carving. Use the appropriate carving tools to cut along the marked lines, following the design. Remember to carve slowly and with caution.

Illuminate Your Masterpiece: Place a tea light or LED candle inside your pumpkin and place the lid on. When you light it up, your carved pumpkin will come to life with your chosen design.

Paint It: Instead of carving all the way through, consider painting your pumpkin and using the carving template as a guide for painting. This technique can produce stunning results, especially when you use a selection of different colours.

Go 3D: For an extra dimension, carve varying depths into your pumpkin. Some parts can be shallow cuts to create different levels of illumination when you add your light inside.

Think Outside the Pumpkin: Pumpkin carving templates aren't limited to just pumpkins. You can use them on other fruits and vegetables for example; Watermelons, squash, or even bell peppers for smaller decorations.
